A later model of the above, actually WW2. This is the Model 99(1940), likely the Paratroop Model Type I(whereby the barrel unscrews for carrying). The bore is 7.7mm, larger than the previous models so as to meet the demands of armored warfare. The stock is painted ŒKU HEI 17"(Sky Soldier 17). The re is also a plate on the stock with the number 17 and "HOKYO KANEYAMA TO", or Kaneyama Supply. There is also a bayonet to fit this model, in excellent condition with Tokyo arsenal marks. Ramrod lacking, otherwise mechanically sound and also makes attractive display. $300
